I am not alone

I am not the only vegan dad out there nor am I the only Vegan Dad. I chose the name for this site because I am a vegan and I am a dad, and my sense of self must be tied into these two things – and also because I couldn’t be bothered to think of anything else. I really give it much thought. I didn’t think to check how many other Vegan Dad websites or social media accounts already exist.

Since starting the vegandad.co.uk site earlier in 2021 I have been curious to discover what other Vegan Dad sites are out there.

The other Vegan Dads

Being vegans, we are hopefully all compassionate people – I am not expecting any cease and desists from any of the other Vegan Dads.

In fact I want to use this post to draw your attention to the other Vegan Dads out there.

http://vegandad.blogspot.com/

A Vegan Dad site going back to 2007. No posts since 2019 but a lot of vegan recipes on there. Where are you Vegan Dad?

https://www.thatvegandad.net/

A Vegan Dad called Jack Rock who says that ‘My idea behind That Vegan Dad is to show EVERYONE that adopting a vegan lifestyle can be easy and highly accessible for just about anyone!’
Jack has a YouTube and an Instagram Channel, he also has a beard which is a big plus in the Vegan Dad community if you ask me. Good recipes on his site and his instagram is well worth a look.

This is an Australian Vegan Dad with a wide range of great info on his site. It doesn’t look like it has been updated since 2019 but don’t let that put you off. There are some vegan recipes, information about veganism, information about weight loss on a vegan diet, and some posts about family life as a vegan dad. Aussie Vegan Dad, where have you gone?

https://www.awesomevegandad.com/

Awesome Vegan Dad is Swedish I think, or at least Google wants to translate his page from Swedish. His site has the strap line “Cruel food without the cruelty” which might not be a great Google translation, but nevertheless Awesome Vegan Dad has some awesome Vegan Dad recipes, including one for Chinese green onion pancakes that I am going to have to try.

https://vegandadchronicles.com/

Another Vegan Dad with the all important Vegan Dad beard. His strap line is ‘Vegan Mindful Journey.’ His site describes a trip to LA as “one family’s quest, driven by their Dad–Vegan Dad–to find the tastiest, most delicious, planet saving-est, animal-loving, Vegan Food in Southern California.” I like the sound of this trip Vegan Dad.

A one post site not updated since 2017. The strap line is “Trying to get the whole family eating healthy nutritious food”, maybe one post was all it took? Good work Vegan Dad.

https://vegandadcomics.com/

This Vegan Dad site is a bit different. Not updated since 2018 but it has an archive of a serial comic strip called Vegan Dad by an artist called Alex Porter. The comic is about a vegan dad called Alan, and up until 2018 it was published daily I think. Alan also has a good Vegan Dad beard.

And so ends my riveting round up. If you are one of the vegan dads on this page then get in touch, and if you are a vegan dad not on this page but want to be on this page then also let me know.
